Membership Terms Of Use
Please read carefullyThe Vetstoria website at www.vetstoria.com ("the Website") is owned and operated by Vetstoria Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom under number 5896625, with registered office at Forge Ley, The Lees, Boughton Lees, Ashford, Kent TN25 4JB ("Vetstoria" / "we" / "our").
- By registering with Vetstoria on the Website, those submitting details on the Registration Step 1 (Register New Account) page and confirming that they agree to these Membership Terms and Conditions, such details then being approved by Vetstoria, shall become Members to the Website in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. By completing the Registration Form and sending this to Vetstoria by clicking on the signing-up button on the Registration Form, you agree to be bound by these Membership Terms and Conditions. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Membership Terms and Conditions.
- Vetstoria will not accept applications for Registration from persons under the age of 18 years, or anyone who has a police record of any offence relating to assault, violence, sexual misconduct or harassment. By registering with Vetstoria, the Member warrants that they have the right, authority and capacity to enter into and be bound by these Membership Terms and Conditions.
- Vetstoria reserves the right to refuse any applications for membership at its own discretion, and no one shall become a Member until they receive email confirmation from Vetstoria that their application for Membership has been accepted. Once an individual receives notification by email from Vetstoria that their application for Membership has been successful, they shall become a ‘Member’ and shall be subject to these Membership Terms and Conditions. The notification of Membership shall include the provision of a Member’s email and password, which shall become their login details for the purposes of the logging on to the Website. The Member agrees to keep such login details secure and not to disclose their log in details to any other third party or Member.
- No-one can register information on the Website unless and until that person has become a Member of the Website and agreed to be bound by these Membership Terms and Conditions.

There are two membership types. You may become a Member as a Pet Owner or as a Veterinary Clinic:

Membership as a Pet Owner
Once an individual has become a “Pet Owner” Member in accordance with these Membership Terms and Conditions, the Member may register one or more of their pets on the Website by completing the details on the ‘Pet Registration’ page of the Website. A pet profile for the individual pets uploaded on to the Website shall be created for each pet registered with the Website and will be recorded against a Member’s profile on the Website. The Member therefore acknowledges and agrees to the information requested in the Member registration process and details requested about their pets in order to create the pet profiles to be made available to the public on the Website. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that all contact information about them and all information relating to their pets provided to Vetstoria is correct, up to date and not misleading. -
Membership as a Veterinary clinic
Once an individual has become a “Veterinary Clinic” Member in accordance with these Membership Terms and Conditions, the Member may register each member of the veterinary clinic staff on the Website by completing the details on the ‘Team Registration’ page of the Website. A staff member profile shall be created for each staff member registered with the Website and will be recorded against a “Veterinary Clinic” Member’s profile on the Website. The Member therefore acknowledges and agrees to the information requested in the Member registration process and details requested about their staff member in order to create the staff member profiles to be made available to the public on the Website. It is the Member’s responsibility to ensure that all contact information about them and all information relating to their staff members provided to Vetstoria is correct, up to date and not misleading.

- Vetstoria is not an adviser or counsellor and does not hold itself out as providing veterinary advice on the Website. Vetstoria shall not be responsible for any advice obtained through a person’s use, or due to their use, of the Website, or any information contained on the Website.
- Vetstoria reserves the right to monitor Member registrations and to terminate such Membership at its discretion if a Member has used the Website for unsuitable or inappropriate means or has behaved in an unsuitable manner (as determined by Vetstoria), or in breach of the General Terms of Use.
- Any communication and / or meetings between Members to the Website are completely at the risk of those Members. Members agree to communications from other Members or meetings with other Members entirely at their own risk and Vetstoria cannot be responsible for such communications and/or the arrangements for such meetings or the actions of other Members in any way.
- Vetstoria does not verify the accuracy or truth of any information published by Members and Vetstoria shall not be liable for any inaccuracies or untruths told by Members to the Website. Vetstoria is not responsible for any dissatisfaction of Members with information obtained from the Website.
- Members must notify Vetstoria immediately of any apparent breach of security such as misuse or unauthorised disclosure or use of their username or password.
- Members will not breach any applicable law, regulation or code of conduct in connection with the services of Vetstoria and agrees to abide by relevant laws and regulations in relation to their use of the Website. This includes, but is not limited to, obeyance of the laws of decency and privacy, as well as laws relating to defamation, libel or slander. Members also warrant that the information they provide on the Website is accurate and not false or fraudulent in any way.
- Vetstoria undertakes not to reveal through the Website any information that would enable a Member to be personally identified or contacted other than through the Website. This includes, but is not limited to, keeping contact details such as telephone numbers and email addresses of other Members safe and secure if such information is passed between Members.
- Both Vetstoria and the Member agree not to publish or forward any information to link to any third party sites which are illegal or contain inappropriate content.
- The Member will not use the Website for any commercial or professional purposes including advertising, trading, canvassing, sale of veterinary or other services, sale of pets or any other commercial or non-private use.
- The Member will not use the Website for junk mail, spam, pyramid or any fraudulent schemes, nor do anything that would disrupt the services of the Website, including the introduction of worms, viruses, software bombs or mass mailings and shall abide by the General Terms of Use for the Website.
- The Member will not use the Website for any other purposes than those set out in these Terms and Conditions or any document or policy referred to herein.
- The Member agrees to comply with any guidelines or requirements on the Website as well as any reasonable request or instructions by Vetstoria in connection with the Website which may be notified to the Member from time to time.
- The Member agrees to notify Vetstoria immediately in writing of any inappropriate behaviour the Member discovers in connection with the Website or as a result of using the Website for Vetstoria to take such action as it considers appropriate in its discretion.
- Vetstoria is not liable for any misuse or misrepresentation of information uploaded onto the Website by other Members.
- Vetstoria reserves the right to refuse or suspend Membership, and / or remove from the Website all or part of any profile, pet profile or any other Member content for any reason.
- In order to use the Website properly, users must have the necessary hardware, software and reliable internet access, none of which is the responsibility of Vetstoria and is the entire responsibility of the user.
- Vetstoria cannot guarantee that the services on the Website will be uninterrupted or will achieve particular results, or the integrity or security of data contained therein, except to use its reasonable endeavours to rectify faults if they do occur. Vetstoria operates the Website in line with the General Terms of Use.
- The trade marks, logos, graphics, images, photographs, text, software, videos, articles and all content used on or for the running of the Website are the intellectual property of Vetstoria or its authorised licensors. A Member only has the right to use the Website in accordance with the General Terms of Use and these Membership Terms and Conditions and is strictly limited to access, download, print and reproduction of media for their own personal, private or non–commercial use only.
- The Website cannot be linked to another Website or be included in part or whole within another site without Vetstoria’ explicit written consent.
- By registering on the Website, the Member grants to Vetstoria a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to copy, alter, adapt, translate, display, sub-licence or assign content uploaded onto the Website by the Member, whether such information is uploaded on or via the Website or otherwise through any distribution medium including electronic media (including email, SMS, WAP, Internet or CD Rom) and audiovisual communications media (including press, radio, analogue tv, digital tv, cable or satellite).
- The Member agrees to follow the guidelines for completing the Registration process as set out on the Website at the time of completing the Registration page, in order to become a Member upon these Membership Terms and Conditions.
- Membership to the Vetstoria Website is free of charge at the time of becoming a Member to the Website in accordance with these Membership Terms and Conditions. The Member and Vetstoria are therefore agreeing to be bound by these Membership Terms and Conditions in consideration for their mutual rights and obligations as detailed in these Membership Terms and Conditions. Vetstoria reserves the right to charge a membership fee for new members signing up to the Website, or raise a charge for any other services it may provide, from time to time, notice of which will be placed on the Website.
- Members may at any time terminate their Membership with Vetstoria by giving written notice to Vetstoria. Vetstoria agrees to remove all the Member’s details from the Website as soon as reasonably practicable following such termination. Details relating to a Member’s pet(s) will be automatically removed once the Member’s profile is deleted.
- Vetstoria may terminate (or suspend) the Membership of a Member immediately at any time if they are in breach of the terms of their contract with Vetstoria as set out in these Membership Terms and Conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, suspension or termination due to a Member committing a material breach of the contract or if the Member is deemed to be potentially damaging to Vetstoria or other Members, as determined by Vetstoria in its absolute discretion.
- Vetstoria reserves the right to change these Membership Terms and Conditions at any time by posting revised Membership Terms and Conditions on the Website.
- Vetstoria shall operate the Website with reasonable skill and care.
- Nothing in these Membership Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit Vetstoria’ liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by its negligence (as such term is defined by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977); (b) fraud; (c) misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter; or (d) any liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law.
- Subject to the foregoing, Vetstoria will not be liable or responsible to you or any third person for any amount or kind of loss or damage that may result (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, punitive or consequential loss or damages, or any loss of income, profits, goodwill, data, contracts, use of money, or loss or damages arising from or connected in any way to business interruption of any type, and whether in tort (including without limitation negligence, contract or otherwise) in connection with the Website in any way or in connection with the use, inability to use or the results of use of this Website.
- By agreeing to these Membership Terms and Conditions, Members agree to fully and effectively indemnify Vetstoria against all third party claims, costs, losses and/or liabilities relating to this contract and a Member’s usage of, or actions in relation, to the Website.
- Use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The personal information (including sensitive personal information) you provide to us will be stored on our computers and you consent to us using this information to build up your profile to allow you to participate in the community on the Website and to set up pet profiles, as set out in these Membership Terms and Conditions and in the terms of the Privacy Policy.
- Other than personally identifiable information which relates to a living individual who can be identified from that information, which will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy, any material that you transmit or post to this Website will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. We will have no obligations with respect to such material. We will be free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use such material and all data, images, sounds, text and other things embodied therein for any and all commercial or non-commercial purposes.
- A waiver of any right under these Membership Terms and Conditions is only effective if it is in writing and it applies only to the party to whom the waiver is addressed and the circumstances for which it is given.
- In the event that any provision of these Membership Terms and Conditions is declared by any judicial or other competent authority to be void, voidable, illegal or otherwise unenforceable or indications of this are received by either of the parties from any relevant competent authority it may be severed from these Membership Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Membership Terms and Conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
- These Membership Terms and Conditions, and any document referred to herein, represent the entire agreement between Vetstoria and the Member for the provision of the services set out on the Website and supersede any prior agreement, understanding or arrangement between the parties, whether oral or in writing, in relation to the services. The Member acknowledges that, in entering into the contract with Vetstoria on these Membership Terms and Conditions, that it has not relied upon any representation, undertaking or promise by Vetstoria or be implied from anything said or written between the parties prior to the contract being finalised, except as expressly stated in these Membership Terms and Conditions. The Member shall have no remedy in respect of any untrue statement made by Vetstoria, whether orally or in writing, prior to the date of the contract (unless such untrue statement was made fraudulently) and the Member’s only remedy shall be for breach of contract as provided in these Membership Terms and Conditions.
- These Membership Terms and Conditions are made for the benefit of the parties to it and (where applicable) their successors and permitted assigns and is not intended to benefit, or be enforceable by, anyone else who is not a party to it and the provisions of the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply.
- These Membership Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the law of England and Wales. The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Membership Terms and Conditions or the subject matter contained within the Membership Terms and Conditions.
