Content Marketing Manager

The Role

PermanentLocation: London (or Remote UK-based)Salary: £35-45k + 10% quarterly performance bonus

The Content Marketing Manager will conceptualise, plan, create, and edit high-quality content for our blog, website, paid ads, emails, and other marketing collateral resulting from proactively identifying our values and priorities.

In this role, you will:
  • Understand our target customer and the customer journey to advise your content strategy.
  • Establish a research-backed content strategy, editorial calendar, and distribution plan to support the customer at each stage of their journey.
  • Identify gaps in content and recommend new topics according to SEO research and competitor performance.
  • Craft high-quality blogs, eBooks, whitepapers, ad copy, case studies, video scripts, website copy, and more.
  • Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team and freelancers to execute your content plan.
  • Proofread and edit content from other team members (product marketing, social, etc.).
  • Create customer lifecycle marketing collateral to drive marketing qualified leads via strategically integrated campaigns.
  • Track and analyse content performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Own, define and create the Vetstoria brand voice, messaging, and positioning.

Key skills / Experience

  • 2+ years experience in a copywriting, journalism or content marketing role.
  • Experience creating content for multiple audiences, across multiple channels (experience with video content is a plus!). audiences/personas (video content is a plus!).
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • A creative mind with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to write concise copy that simplifies technical and complex topics and makes them easy to understand.
  • Proficient in Google Suite (experience with Hubspot is a plus).
  • Curious and eager to learn; always looking for ways to level up.
  • A foundational understanding of SEO concepts and topic clusters to inform strategy.
  • Can collaborate across multiple departments and stakeholders to collect and organise information in a user-friendly manner.
  • Veterinary experience or a passion for animals is a bonus!
