The Role

Location: Sri Lanka - Colombo

As our Web Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining, updating and optimizing the company’s corporate website, including the creation and execution of testing plans to improve the customer journey and drive conversion.

Duties will include:
  • Day to day management of the Vetstoria website, including creating, building and amending pages, troubleshooting and resolving issues and bugs, and managing updates of plugins.
  • Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure the website aligns with the brand strategy and a consistent message is delivered across all digital platforms.
  • Maintain the health of the website (backing up the site, updating plugins, and fixing on-page errors).
  • Ensure web content is appropriately tagged and has correct metadata for SEO.
  • Report on website traffic, bounce rates, conversion rates, etc., and use insights to provide actionable outcomes to internal stakeholders.
  • Creating strategies to improve web traffic metrics (conversions, subscriptions
    etc.,) and using conversion rate optimization tools (Google Optimize or similar) to understand and produce A/B testing of these metrics.
  • Lead conversion rate optimization for Vetstoria’s consumer-facing website and landing pages.
  • Help concept, build, implement and manage a robust pipeline of optimization tests in partnership with the marketing team, continuously improving conversion metrics and driving new customer acquisition. You will be responsible for ensuring that we are driving growth while delivering the best experience for our web visitors.
  • Adopt a data-first approach to understand, analyze, report, and act on the data available to us using Google Analytics, Google Optimize, Hotjar, and other CRO-related platforms.
  • Keeping up to date with industry best practice and monitor competitor websites.

Key skills / Experience

  • 4+ years of experience managing a Content Management System (WordPress using WPBakery page builder).
  • Experience managing a B2B lead generation website.
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and UX principles.
  • Strong A/B testing experience and knowledge.
  • A good understanding of SEO and user experience principles.
  • A good understanding of Google Tag Manager, including event tracking is essential - Preferred.
  • A good understanding of Google Analytics (and other CRO tools) and how to interpret website data to drive optimization - Preferred.
  • A good understanding of SEO and user experience principles - Preferred.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well in teams.
  • A real problem solver with strong logical and analytical skills and the ability to spot patterns, gaps, relationships, and inconsistencies
